Real weddings in Yorkshire
A quirky outdoor wedding venue near York – Skipbridge is full of fun, character, animals, tipis, and has plenty of accommodation on site.
Katie and David chose a perfect wedding venue just 2 miles south of York – Middlethorpe Hall – a wonderfully restored and beautifully maintained national trust property with stunning grounds. Here is a selection of their wedding photos from their post lock-down September wedding.
Simon and Emma, had planned a big full day wedding celebration starting at St Paul’s church in Shipley followed by a wedding reception at Bradford Golf Club… but then Covid happened, and like many people they were forced to downsize dramatically.
But this didn’t stop them having a wonderful wedding!
Lizzie and Adam had a wonderful wedding at Hazel Brow House, full of joy and happiness, in stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery with dogs in bow ties, a Boris Johnson piñata, and a slightly unconventional cake cutting!
In October (2019), Nicola and David had a wonderful wedding weekend with all their nearest and dearest at the Yorkshire Wedding Barn near Richmond. With their dog as a bridesmaid, and a fantastic gospel choir, they managed to personalise the day wonderfully.
Faye loves bright colours, and Martin loves Faye, so their wedding in York in January was wonderfully colourful. Preparations at Faye’s family home, ceremony in York registry office, a meal at the Guy Fawkes Inn, followed by a party back at the house.
Real weddings in Durham and the North East
Chris and Jade had their original wedding plans cancelled by covid – but that didn’t stop them! A few months later, abiding by all restrictions, they tied the knot with their family at Middlesbrough Registry Office and then had a lovely garden party.
